Building on your DOT HAZMAT Transportation Training, this seminar provides you with the necessary tools to prepare shipments by air. In this class you will learn how to navigate the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the requirements for preparing packagings and following packing instructions, proper marking and labeling, and completing the Declaration of Dangerous Goods shipping papers. We will also review state and operator variations. This class incorporates numerous hands-on activities to help the participant familiarize themselves with the regulations. IATA Training is required every two (2) years!
Note: It is highly recommended to have DOT training prior to attending this class. See our schedule for DOT HAZMAT training. We recommend (not mandatory) students to bring their 49CFR 100-185 to this class. You will be required to use the IATA DG Regulations. You may bring your own copy (must be current) or purchase from PTP to use on the day of the training. When you register, please indicate in the comments section if you will need a copy of the regulations.
