PHILADELPHIA DOT HAZMAT Training
PTP provides qualified instructors through out New Jersey to teach the HAZMAT transportation requirements for NJ shippers, under the DOT regulations, 49 CFR §172.700.
DOT does not require specific contact hours for instruction but they do require training on the following:
• General Awareness
• Function Specific
• Safety and Emergency Response
• Security
Based on the activities of HAZMAT employees at your Philadelphia facility, this training program can range from a 2 hour to 8 hour class. Based on your needs, we can propose solutions for in-house or off-site training at out Swedesboro NJ facility.

Hazardous Waste: RCRA Training – Covering all of New Jersey
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Management
This course is geared towards hazardous waste generators through out the state of New Jersey that are required to understand the fundamental regulatory requirements that apply to their facility. After explaining the regulations in 40 CFR §260-265, the class focuses on workshops and case scenarios to aid students in their understanding as to how the rules apply. We also review the relationship with the DOT requirements for transportation of Hazardous Waste throughout New Jersey and the rest of the country. Each student receives a student handout and a student workbook on the fundamentals of the hazardous waste regulations. Certificates are issued upon successful completion.

HAZWOPER Training for New Jersey Companies
We provide initial and refresher training classes that fulfill the program elements under HAZWOPER regulations, 29 CR§1910.120. As required by OSHA, only competent instructors may train this program, and we have the necessary credentials and experience to instruct this course. PTP offers HAZWOPER Training for clients across New Jersey and the South Jersey Region.

NJ IATA DG Training
In addition to the federal DOT training requirements, New Jersey shippers that offer hazmat, or dangerous goods, for transportation by international air need to follow the International Aviation Transportation Association (IATA) requirements. PTP offers in-house training at your South Jersey or New Jersey facility, training from the most recent IATA manual and certifying competencies of shippers. Like the DOT rules, IATA does not specify contact hours, but specific items need to be covered, and PTP will again assess your needs and will propose a cost effective training program.
